I just want everyone to know that I still don’t approve of Mediacom’s service. This is really my only outlet for my continual rage. I called those jokers when I got back in town on July 2nd. They said they would need to send out a technician. Their first available time slot is July 12th!! Thats a week and a half later!! Luckily my internet began to work again, but at the time it had been down for 2 weeks and they were saying it would be another week and a half? Unbelievable….I am seriously plotting a bombing at their office…does anyone know a good and cheap homemade bomb that will get the job done?
Edit - I don’t actually want to destroy Mediacom…it’s just a figure of speech. much love

Dang, man. This is the scariest post i’ve ever read. You better take this down before the feds come a knockin. Seriously. I just called them and told them to go a knockin.
I say let them come. maybe the feds will be able to fix my internet while they’re here. I’m sure they would get here faster than mediacom anyways. besides, they got nothing on me. I got no problem defending myself in court…I’ll say, “free speech mutha, you got nothing on me”
So yeah. Our Mediacom internet/phone was down since we got back from Poland. They’ve already come and fixed it. They came earlier today. You catch more flies with sugar than with bomb threats, I guess.

Mediacom is a real problem in my section of Bettendorf IA, I am always loosing connection and waiting for the cable to retrieve the signal and waiting for the internet connection to connect. I have had over 10 visits from Mediacom (NO JOKE) in the last 12 months, one time they even tried to blame me for the issue. The tech guys were very rude and a couple times when I called in the phone reps hung up on me. I really want the city to allow competition in the area, it only makes sense and it will really help the community. I wish Mediacom was a little bit more respectful and did not have the “we are the only provider” attitude. Please allow for competition
Yeah I hear ya. Just got off the phone with Mediacom and its been 20 days since I paid for my high-speed internet service and they still haven’t hooked up my interent yet. I have seen the Mediacom van parked in my apt’s parking lot 5 times since the start and they still won’t hooked it up till 5 days from now because “that is the earliest time we can do it you see we work on a first come first serve”
Mediacom has been to my place 3 times in 54 month and i have been charged every time because the tech on the phone could have fixed it, my internet is still always down i have to unplug stuff and reboot that its more trouble then dial up and i cant get anything else here they have some kind of contract with the land lord, i say bring on the bombs..
