I signed up with a new hosting company in the past week, so I have had to migrate everything onto to the host. My database backup for the blog was slightly old, so I had to restore some of the newer posts via google cache. Thanks Google! I hope you like the new look. I am working on my portfolio side of the site now. I am not sure if I want to go with a flash design, or a more traditional non-flash site for that portion of the site. Flash gives such a nice experience for viewing large photographs, but it comes at the expense of longer loading times, and more importantly, reduced SEO (Search Engine Optimization). With very little context, it is hard for search engines to index flash only sites effectively. I love pixelpost, but I am looking to move towards a more portfolio based design that will group different projects or categories better, rather than the photo blog look and feel. Comments are welcome as always, let me know what you think.
Also, I am posting some pictures from our honeymoon, which I promised and never got around to posting. We went to Vancouver in January of this year. It was gorgeous, but slightly cold and rainy/foggy. I would definitely recommend it to anyone, but probably not during the winter months. Enjoy!! If you haven’t checked out the PicLens link above the galleries, you should. It is a very nice image browser, with a full screen option.
