We decided to photograph on the beautiful Mercer University campus in Macon. We had a wonderful time doing these portraits despite the awful summer heat and humidity. Shannon and Michael were very fun to work with and Nathan was a great trooper throughout the session!

Meg Mehserle serves as president and head interior designer at JMA Architecture. Meg and her husband Jim own and operate JMA from their office in downtown Perry, GA. This photo was taken in the downstairs portion of their office building, which is a renovated historic home. JMA has designed numerous buildings in the Middle Georgia area, including the new Perry Courthouse Complex.

Tim Lewis - Lewis Farms Nursery

Tim Lewis is the owner of Lewis Farms Nursery in Elko, Georgia.  Tim was born and raised in Elko, and he and his family live in the same house he grew up in as a boy. My goal was to capture Tim in a natural environment and pose, surrounded by the plants he cares for.

I am having a difficult time choosing between these two shots. Please let me know which one you think is stronger.

I had to compress the video considerably to get it to stream online, but you can still see the quality that this camera can produce. It is very difficult to get used to the manual focusing while shooting, but I think I can get a lot better with more experience. I’m looking forward to posing more video with the Canon 5D MK II, so stay tuned.
